Gallery of Other Artwork by
          Tracie Talany
Below are photographs.  I like to shoot things that catch my eye and paint them later.

On this page, you will see samples of some of my
other work.  Much of this is from the 1980's, like the
oil painting to the left.  The night sky fascinates me
as colors morph into their opposites without the
sun.   All bright colors are my favorite, but the
glowing  Prussian blue of a moonlit midnight is
one of my  favorites.

My first art show was at the Lynne Kottler Gallery
in  Manhatten, I was a hot headed 21 year-old.  The
show  featured  portraits of John Lennon, and
other celebrities,  painted in watercolor and
sketched with pen/ink.  And, there was an oil of a
Quince tree that was given away to a couple from
Orange, New Jersey in Grand Central Station, NYC.
The lady screamed so loud that the cops surrounded
us!  When they discovered she was just happy, they
let me go. Wow, it was a moment etched in my heart.
(
Amy, I recently found your photo of the Quince, and I will do you
     another one!)

Below the night painting are sketchbook pages of
John Lennon, Anthony Perkins and David Bowie.
Robin Williams received one of my full-color portraits
back in 1978, and he sent me a thank you!

Next, you see a wild painting. It has taken me years
to  permit myself to acknowledge this inner art that
keeps popping out.  Realism had been my goal for
too many years, finally, the wild stuff has been let out!
To see the the whole series of "Soul Stirrings",  go to
Artspan.com- the link is on the "About the Artist "page.

In the last row I have placed some photographs.
There is just too much beauty around and not enough
time  to paint it.
